The gridComm GCNET LoRa module which can double up as a LoRaWAN module

The GC7808, a low-power compact two-way communication wireless module using Semetch LoRa linear spread spectrum modulation technology, is suitable for the global sub-GHz wireless ISM (Industrial-Scientific-Medical) spectrum. Its most attractive feature is that it can achieve further distance than other wireless technologies under the same power consumption conditions in challenging environments. Typically, it can achieve 3-5 times the distance over other conventional radio frequency technologies including Wi-SUN. Even with Spreading Factor 7 and 250kHz bandwidth at 11kbps, it can still achieve 1.5 km non line-of-sight distance. Its low power consumption makes it ideally suitable for battery-only operated applications which can have a lifespan of 5 to10 years. The module has a built-in low-power MCU and integrated gridComm GCNET auto-routing algorithm, which can greatly help to expand network coverage improving wireless communication reliability and effectively reduce the cost of on-site tuning and maintenance for the communication system. The GC7808 LoRa module is exceptionally suitable for IoT sensors and all kinds of metering devices including smart electric meter, water meter and gas meter. It supports remote firmware upgrade and can work perfectly with gridComm GC1508 MLG for implementing Smart City applications.
