The gridComm GCNET LoRa modem for IoT applications
The intelligent small form-factor GridComm GCNET Auto Routing Modem, GC9948, is a complete hardware and software networking solution. The modem inherits the merits of the robust GCNET networking algorithm supporting Simple Broadcast, Auto Routing and Broadcast Routing operation mode in semi or full transparent protocol. It automatically networks with the master node and self-adapts to varying environments by adjusting the routing paths accordingly maintaining a consistent network tree structure with the master node.
The GC9948 can be flexibly configured as a master node, or a slave node. As a slave node, the GC9948 can also double up as a repeater for the lower-tier child nodes. It can be ideally used in scenarios such as where LoRaWAN implementation is insufficient with low signal penetration and poor network coverage due to blind spots. It can be deployed to for meter reading, water level and water pressure monitoring, industrial monitoring, energy management and environmental monitoring etc.
